What Responsible Gambling Means at ban55

At ban55, we believe that gambling should always be kept in perspective. Whether you are following Pakistan cricket, tracking PSL and T20 fixtures, checking ICC tournament odds or enjoying our live casino tables, every session should feel like leisure — never a financial necessity or an escape from stress.

Responsible gambling is not a single feature or a checkbox on a registration form. It is a continuous commitment that runs through every part of how ban55 operates. That means designing tools that are easy to find and use, training our support team to recognise early warning signs, and acting quickly when a player needs help — regardless of account history or deposit amount.

We understand that Pakistani users come to ban55 from cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, each with different social contexts. Our responsible gambling framework is designed with that variety in mind. You do not need to be in crisis to use these tools — setting a deposit limit of PKR 5,000 per week from day one is exactly the kind of proactive step we encourage.

Important: ban55 does not claim to be licensed or regulated by the Government of Pakistan, the PTA or the State Bank of Pakistan. Users in Pakistan must satisfy themselves that their use of the Platform is consistent with applicable local law, including the Prevention of Gambling Act 1977. This page does not constitute legal advice.

Figures above are illustrative examples only. Set your own limits based on what works for you.

Deposit limits let you cap how much money you can transfer into your ban55 account within a set timeframe. You can set limits on a daily, weekly or monthly basis — or all three simultaneously.

When you reduce a deposit limit, the new lower limit takes effect immediately. When you increase a limit, a cooling-off period applies before the increase becomes active, giving you time to reconsider. We recommend setting a deposit limit that reflects your genuine entertainment budget — for example, PKR 1,000 per day or PKR 5,000 per week — rather than the maximum you could technically afford to lose.

A loss limit caps the total amount you can lose within a chosen period. Once your losses reach the limit you set, you will be unable to place further bets until the period resets. Loss limits work independently from deposit limits — you can, and should, set both.

Loss limits are particularly useful if you tend to chase losses after a bad session. Setting a firm monthly loss limit of PKR 10,000–25,000 (depending on your personal financial position) means the platform enforces the boundary for you, removing the temptation to keep playing in the hope of recovering losses.

Session time limits end your betting session automatically after a period you choose — for example, 30 minutes, 1 hour or 90 minutes. When the session ends, you are logged out and must consciously choose to log back in, adding a natural pause for reflection.

Reality checks are pop-up notifications that appear at intervals you specify during a session. They display how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered, so you always have an accurate picture of your session without having to track it manually. Many players find that a 20-minute reality check is enough to keep sessions enjoyable and appropriately time-bounded.

A cool-off period is a short-term break from betting. During a cool-off, your account remains open and your balance is preserved, but you cannot place bets or make deposits. Cool-off periods are available from 24 hours up to six weeks.

Cool-offs are ideal if you have had a frustrating run of losses, if you are under unusual financial or personal stress, or if you simply feel like gambling is taking up more of your headspace than you would like. You can request a cool-off at any time from your account settings and it takes effect immediately — it cannot be reversed once activated.

Self-exclusion is a serious, longer-term break from gambling. When you self-exclude from ban55, your account is suspended and you will not be able to register a new account using the same details. Ban55 will also suppress any marketing communications to you for the duration of the exclusion.

Self-exclusion periods start at six months and can be set for one year, two years, five years or permanently. To request self-exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected] with your account details and your chosen exclusion period. We will act on your request within 24 hours.

Once a self-exclusion is activated, it cannot be reversed during the chosen period. This is intentional — it protects you from impulse decisions to return.

You can request a full activity report for your ban55 account at any time. The report covers your deposit and withdrawal history in PKR, total amounts wagered, net wins and losses per period, and the time spent on the Platform. Having this data in a clear format helps you make objective decisions about your gambling habits.

Activity reports can be requested by contacting our support team. We aim to deliver reports within 48 hours of a valid request from a verified account holder.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always obvious in the early stages. The signs below are not a clinical diagnosis — they are indicators that it might be time to pause, use a tool or seek support.

Chasing Losses

Placing larger or more frequent bets to try to recover money you have lost in a previous session — especially when you had intended to stop.

Gambling With Essential Money

Using funds earmarked for rent, household bills, school fees or daily expenses like transport to fund gambling activity.

Hiding Gambling Activity

Concealing bets, winnings or losses from family members or close friends, or feeling the need to downplay how much time you spend gambling.

Gambling to Manage Emotions

Turning to betting to relieve boredom, stress, anxiety or low mood rather than for entertainment — using wins as a mood fix rather than a bonus.

Losing Track of Time

Regularly spending far longer gambling than you planned, losing awareness of time passing during sessions, or missing other commitments as a result.

Withdrawing from Social Life

Declining social events, neglecting hobbies or spending less time with family and friends in Karachi, Lahore or elsewhere in order to gamble more.

If you recognise two or more of these signs in yourself — or someone has raised concerns about your gambling — we strongly encourage you to use the self-exclusion or cool-off tools described above, and to explore the support resources listed further down this page. You do not need to wait until things feel out of control.

Ask Yourself These Questions

Answering these questions honestly — even just privately — can give you a clearer picture of where you stand. There are no right or wrong answers here; the purpose is reflection, not judgment.

A note on honesty: The value of a self-assessment depends entirely on how honestly you engage with it. If you find yourself minimising, skipping questions or justifying away a "yes" answer, that itself may be worth reflecting on.

Self-Assessment Checklist
1

Do you sometimes bet more than you originally intended when you started a session?

2

Have you ever borrowed money, sold possessions or delayed paying bills in order to fund gambling?

3

Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you try to reduce or stop gambling?

4

Have you gambled to escape personal problems, anxiety or a low mood — rather than purely for fun?

5

Have you ever tried to cut down on gambling and found it harder than expected?

6

Has gambling ever caused arguments or tension with family members or close friends?

7

Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently when you are not actively betting — replaying past wins or planning future bets?

ban55's Responsible Gambling Commitments

Beyond the tools we provide to individual players, these are the platform-level commitments ban55 makes to responsible gambling.

Mandatory Age Verification

Every ban55 account must pass age verification before any deposit or bet can be placed. We require government-issued ID and we do not allow players under 18 — or under the higher minimum required by our licensing jurisdiction — to participate under any circumstances.

No Predatory Marketing

ban55 does not target promotional communications at players who have set limits, taken a cool-off, applied for self-exclusion or shown patterns consistent with problem gambling. Marketing preferences can be adjusted or withdrawn at any time from account settings.

Proactive Monitoring

Our team monitors account activity for patterns that may indicate problem gambling — rapid loss of a large amount in a short session, sudden dramatic increases in deposit frequency, or repeated ignored reality checks. We may reach out proactively if we are concerned.

Secure Data Handling

Responsible gambling data — including self-exclusion status, limit settings and activity reports — is handled with the highest level of security and confidentiality. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Transparent Information

All odds, house edges and game return-to-player (RTP) percentages are displayed clearly. We believe informed players make better decisions — knowing the odds is part of responsible play.

Trained Support Staff

Our customer support team is trained to handle responsible gambling conversations with care and without judgment. If you reach out about a gambling concern, you will be treated with respect and directed to the right tools and resources without delay.

Enjoy ban55 — On Your Terms
